Restarts were not taken. The surrender came pleasantly; fast roads led to three secondary skills, two Griffin Conservatories along the way, one in the snow. On day 117, Piyrr with Expert Earth Magic, but no spell book :o. I picked up two secondary skills on the first one, with nagas at home in the Citadel.

On day 121, I upgraded the nagas and took the Griffin Conservatories. The Conservatories were small, 1+2; I broke through the third road — a lift. There, things slowed down a bit, and a section of the road went through a treasure zone, and along that road were bears with a +5 All Stats sword. I grabbed the third secondary skill, bought a spell book there, and along the way to the shrine used Slow — with the shooters (Magi, Gremlins, 14 Grands) I easily took the sword. In that same treasure zone, I picked up a Dragon Fly Hive with 8 and a 2/2 Cloak. Then I took the remaining Conservatory in the snow with peasants (also a two), and on day 126 I broke through the Citadel gate, on day 127 I entered the enemy's main town and doubled my mana there; on day 131 the surrender followed.
