Can you explain what the fundamental difference is between these results? As I understand it, the first one doesn't particularly affect the Buchholz rating (standard +3 for the winner, 0 for the loser), and it's considered a regular win. But in the second case, the technical win gives -3 +1 to the Buchholz, while a regular win just gives +1.
But in the first case, they could have played for a couple of days, saved the game, and not finished it. Why are these cases separated? (I understand that they are counted differently because of Roger.)
For example, a win by judges' decision (based on game advantage) is, of course, a different case, unlike these two wins due to time limits.
