The headphones are the same, and the "sound card" is also comparable.
I don't know about you, but for me, the sound is significantly different, even when comparing a player from 2007 and a new smartphone that I bought this year. The headphones are the same, but the player sounds much better, not to mention the computer. Of course, songs like the first one, or those of popular artists that teenagers listen to, and whose music consists of a single beat plus synthesizer noise in the background, sound almost the same on a phone (this is probably why such songs are written, considering that many people listen to them on their phones), but something more instrumental already sounds worse, especially heavy music.
