Application for the CIS region.

I've also been to Batumi. And there are clearly more interesting places there than in Chisinau or Michurinsk. One sightseeing tour of the city will be more than enough. And the CIS community has never aimed for anything more.
Plus, Batumi has the sea. If someone thinks that's completely unnecessary, then let's remember CIS-2013, where the sea was very much in demand.
Tbilisi is also great, but I would choose Batumi because of the sea, shorter distances, and more developed tourist infrastructure.

But in general, wherever an organizer appears, that's where we'll go :)

I have nothing against Batumi as a tournament location; I'm talking about the overall impression I have compared to many other cities. The price/service ratio is one of the worst for a resort. Personally, I would go to Tbilisi, but, of course, everything depends on the organizer, not on my preferences.
A separate drawback regarding the sea (as of 2014) is that there's an 8 km long promenade and not a single toilet except for a couple of restaurants, which, of course, doesn't cover the entire beach. In addition, the sea is covered with a corrosive film from the waste of the nearby port infrastructure. I didn't get any pleasure from that sea at all. Only the food saved the day, and not everywhere. I don't even want to talk about the hotels. Yes, the chacha there is excellent :)
