After VDV's response, I also started having vague doubts about this, but I attributed it to my long absence – I thought the guys had changed something in the game. It turns out there is a catch.

:) Damn, and VDV said there wouldn't be any surprises :) In this save, the heroes have magic that isn't the default, and it wasn't announced. Also, the fact that you can't buy heroes who have been killed – I haven't gotten to that yet :) So, is it allowed or not? VDV, what do you say in light of AmberSolera's post? I've already messed up a bit with the population week – I somehow thought it was forbidden here, although there wasn't an explicit prohibition :) I don't have time to replay – I feel like I'm going down like a lead balloon. The heroes I need aren't showing up :) Complete failure :) Maybe I can somehow manage to finish the playthrough? :)
