If you're curious, you can try calculating it yourself before reading the rest of the post. And then compare.
For convenience: Dimension Door and Town Portal require 200 MP at expert skill, step on road, 65 in this case (average), diagonally - 91. On grass - 100 straight and 141 diagonally. Dimension Door can be cast a maximum of 9 tiles.

If I had ended the post here, I think we would have seen many different numbers. Somewhere around 1000<=X<=2000 with some clustering in the middle of the range. Or we wouldn't have seen any at all :-) But we continue and look at the second, main screenshot: https://clip2net.com/clip/m223041/2fb88-clip-2365kb.jpg?nocache=1
Here we see a view of the same section of the map, but with a grid overlaid. Calculating MP becomes a matter of technique and some attentiveness. For verification, I'm also attaching three more screenshots from the revealed map to make sure our calculations from the view fully match reality.

That's all for now. Join the discussion. Knowledge (views) is power!
You used a non-optimal Dimension Door in your example and ended up spending 200 moves more (not counting the Griffin Conservatory there). The same thing could have been done by going straight from the road and then jumping to the town.
But the topic is cool, the grid would make such calculations much easier, though I have no idea how to implement it. And views, when used properly, are obviously OP.
