If this question were asked in some Heroes-related online community, a crowd would likely rush in, shouting "Artifact!" (or "Gwent!", if it were a few years ago).

Perhaps the main reason why I (almost) always paid more attention to Heroes than to Might & Magic is that, in my opinion, the gameplay in Heroes is more diverse.
