I think the main thing to learn is to save the game when you're unsure about the rules. Yes, it can sometimes seem a bit silly. And it's possible that your opponent will complain and get angry about the game being paused. But you can leave that on their conscience. The alternative is even worse. You might end up in a controversial situation, with suspicions of cheating, lose momentum because you're afraid to make a move, or, conversely, make a move that turns out to be illegal and get penalized, or even have to replay the game. It's better to take a screenshot, save the game, and immediately ask a judge about the issue as soon as it arises. This will save the game, your nerves, and the time of the good people in the Arbitration Committee.
