But if the "new player" participates in all tournaments and takes 1st place, and the leader takes 2nd-3rd place because of this "guy," and also misses a couple of games, then there is a chance to catch up with the leader, and over time, if it continues like this, there is a good chance of overtaking him.

Iron and Bass were talking about calculating the rating in ONE tournament:
Iron said that winning gives 2 (or 3, I don't remember exactly, it's not that important) points, a draw gives 1 point, and a loss gives 0.
Bass said something similar, but the numbers are different: win - 1, draw - 0.5, loss - 0.
