It would be interesting to watch a walkthrough of the Remix of the new version of the map or a replay of the first battle against Giovanni.

Bro, no offense, but I think you play poorly (even though I play poorly myself). Two thoughts led me to this conclusion. First, you're playing on Veteran difficulty (which says a lot), and second, at the slightest difficulty, you immediately write to the author instead of trying to figure something out yourself. This map is passable because other people have managed to complete it.
Simple conclusion: Learn to play, and then these kinds of awkward situations won't arise.
