I keep looking at how some organizers appoint ODDs (Overdue Date Declarations) and I'm amazed. Sometimes an ODD is appointed simply after chatting with one of the players, and sometimes not even after talking to anyone... To appoint an ODD, you need to at least ask both sides who and when they can play, while also looking for a compromise. There are clinical cases where one of the players has disappeared, but the organizer still appoints an ODD – that's just outrageous. Some players have started to abuse ODDs. After disappearing for a week, they show up towards the end of the second week (sometimes on the last day) and ask for an ODD!! As if they couldn't coordinate (forgetting to mention the reason). And what? Maybe it will work?

There are individual cases where opponents communicate with each other, and then one of them asks for an ODD at a time when they know the other cannot play.
