Well, not exactly. You can learn some subtleties and tricks by playing against the computer, especially in the early stages. You can experiment, and then, when you've learned a bit more about the game, you can move on to the next level – playing against a real opponent, and then Tournaments.

But you can learn and memorize those subtleties much faster by playing against a person, and even better, in an offline game. Don't you agree with that? It's in the discussions that you can hear those very subtleties you're talking about
