Since there are more than 32 participants, but significantly fewer than 64, my system seems unsuitable. Therefore, I want to run the tournament as follows: the top 16 players based on rating will directly enter the upper bracket; the remaining players will play a preliminary round (best-of-1) to qualify for the upper bracket. The losers in the preliminary round will go to the lower bracket and wait for their opponent (the loser in the first round of the upper bracket). In the upper bracket, the first round will be best-of-1, and the rest will be best-of-3. In the lower bracket, all matches will be best-of-1. Of course, players can agree to play best-of-3. Thus, the tournament will start when we have 48 participants (currently 41), or, as previously stated, on August 31st. theShevanesian and dendroed did not specify their castles, so their places may be taken by someone else if they do not correct this.
