The fact that participants are looking for opponents earlier than necessary is simply a self-organized initiative, but it has some organizational meaning – for example, now there is time and a desire to play, but later there might not be. And that's why it's approved by some tournament organizers – Vicc is one of them – he is very positive about the initiatives of tournament participants and is happy to accommodate them. :smile10:

Another (illusory) meaning is possible – to play earlier with a weaker opponent, and let the strong ones be assigned to others in the draw later. But we don't have that here. :smile02:
