I just saw the new templates and was immediately impressed by the fact that passages lead to the same zone from which you came.
Won't this be a problem for the game's balance and early encounters? Let players go after resources in some treasure area, and they'll immediately have a high probability of encountering a large enemy. Or someone might be able to clear both zones with some hives, resources, and a key utopia in 3-4 days, which also happens, and we know about it.
I liked that in Heroes of Might and Magic III, even if you found a good zone, it gave you some advantage, but if you wanted to capture it on another plane, you had to find a portal leading into it. But here, it seems like everything is somewhat ill-conceived compared to the previous mirrored maps, but maybe I'm wrong.
