We played with Overlord Heroes, but only for the first week. After that, it was just the usual turn order.
In the final, my psychic elementals skipped a turn in the first and second rounds. I checked – I didn't use Wait or Defense with them in the first round. And towards the end of the battle, the opponent finished me off and passed the turn. He has 89% data transfer, while I have the battle screen with remaining creatures, his catapult is active, but it's not firing at the wall.
I haven't seen such a thing in a long time, not even with War of the Chosen. The most unpleasant thing about this (even assuming some kind of "desynchronization") is, of course, the fact that the psychics skipped a turn in two rounds.
I've attached the save file. The blue password has been entered, the red password is 7789%.
this is most likely a lobby desynchronization
The lobby is technically at a low level – it's still TCP.
This network protocol guarantees that one opponent will receive everything over the network exactly as the other sent it, without errors and in the same sequence. At this level, desynchronization is impossible.
Of course, one could think about the reconnection mechanism in case of disconnection, but then the problems would not only be in battle, and they would only occur after one of the players has a reconnection window.
In short, everything is clear on the lobby side, I'm sure.
