Introduction of Haven in the Stronghold vs. Dungeon tournaments.

I really don't like answering stupid posts because it's most likely obvious that you and the people in this thread are on different planes of existence, and you probably won't understand, but I'll try to get my point across.

I really don't like answering "smart" posts from those who think everyone who disagrees with them is stupid, but it looks like I'll have to. Well, yes, my skill level is low, and it will probably only decrease further – senile sclerosis, dementia, and cognitive decline are already on the horizon. But I still believe that I understand something about what's going on.

Players of different levels, not just strong ones, play and love HotA. Why? I won't elaborate.

Well, then I guess I have to... Who are these "not just strong" players? They are largely fans of HotA, which was originally designed to discredit and destroy the 3 Heroes (a classic "embrace, extend, and exterminate" scheme, very aptly noted by Igromant). Do you think HotA will be free for long? Maybe it will be, but only as long as the 3 Heroes (SoD) are alive and popular.

Dave_HUN (HUN - Hungary) has been on the forum for a long time and has long demonstrated a high level of play. The fact that you recently learned about him doesn't mean he fell from the sky.

I meant not his appearance in general, but how he became a top player. Such players don't really come out of nowhere; they emerge in tournaments, and you're trying to cut off 90% of them from even having the opportunity to appear. Many people from the CIS countries have problems with the paid subscription, and how can you convince a foreigner who doesn't know a word of Russian that in order to start playing in tournaments, he has to pay, even if it's just a small amount?!

I'm not against HotA as such; I play fun games with it. Despite the abundance of bugs, it's still a turn-based strategy, and HotA is an attempt to "force a square peg into a round hole," even if it's largely successful.
But I am categorically against the mandatory paid registration for tournaments, even for a small fee.
