This is called a Spellboost rune, and it's been around for three years.
The problem is the Silver Chimera rotation, which is a billion times better than this purple garbage, and even with it, the deck is Tier 100 in the current meta, and in true Sugar Games fashion, they provided a band-aid with plantain extract for 3500. Unfortunately, they forgot to give it the usual cost reduction from Spellboost, so all owners of this deck will be stuck with a messed-up hand.

Good card, but the effect is tied to evolution, so...

And the experts on the internet think this is good because it helps to maintain a 20% win rate difference in attack and defense. I don't really believe them.

You're imagining things. I don't see any use for these cards in the portal, only high cost, cluttering the board, and a lack of synergies.

Woohoo, a reprint! Although, I'm not sure if it's needed for the rune with the current state of things.
