I wanted to say that in many turn-based games, the mechanics are such that an alpha strike doesn't really decide the outcome, and each turn you can see a noticeable struggle for dominance, so surrendering immediately would be extremely foolish for them, but I decided to stay silent – maybe they are actually weak, and we will tear them to pieces. But it turned out that this wasn't quite the case.
