I've encountered the same issue multiple times. I even argued with Amber and, I think, with Kyle about this clone issue; they told me to read the Physics Manual, but in reality, the clone disappeared much earlier than it should have – I think this depends on whether or not the unit has the Water magic skill, but I can't say for sure.
So, now two of us are saying that there are cases where the clone DOES NOT last until the end of the battle. I checked this on both versions of The Shadow of Death. Will the experts on the Physics Manual clarify this situation or explain it more clearly? And maybe they'll even fix the Physics Manual :) and at the same time, they'll write our nicknames in small letters under the correction :)
