Xiedu can be completed without any hints.
......
- an event for the AI where, when the Naga kill 300 Angels, they are given a decent army in return;
- a special cell for the Grand Elves in the central zone of the map;
- a special cell for defeating the Elementalist who is learning "Dimensional Door" and losing mana in the dungeon;
- the ability to buy Jela in the tavern after the Orange heroes' invasion begins.
The map is extremely difficult, after all. In general, the question of difficulty is relative. In my opinion, the fear this map inspires comes from the fact that at the beginning, the map is dynamic, as the enemy heroes are coming towards us with much stronger forces. Accordingly, there is no time to prepare or build up strength; we will be killed anyway. If you don't play the beginning of the map in an optimal and logistically sound way, then an ordinary player will either not open the passages to the right places or will not know where and how to run, and will inevitably be defeated. The same applies to the rapid invasion of AI on the new respawn point, where our heroes end up. This is what caused the fear and the opinion that the map is impossible to complete. In the middle and at the end of the game (with rare exceptions), the map becomes static; we go where we want and choose the order. We have a sniper + unlimited gold + a large increase in resources. From the middle, the difficulty of the map decreases significantly.
Therefore, for example, the completely static Wayfarer, in my opinion, is much easier.
On the map, I found a couple more "safe cells" where you can hide the Grand Elves in battles with other heroes.
The event for the AI to replace 300 Angels needs to be done, as far as I remember, in the classic version of the game. In HD, if I'm not mistaken, this replacement does not occur! But I quickly figured out this "trick" and reloaded the save in another folder. :)

Guys, help me complete the battle in Xiedu. The Chinese complete this battle with the loss of only 3 Griffins.
You can lose troops within reasonable limits; the Chinese complete it "easily" with the loss of a couple of Griffins, but our losses will not significantly affect the situation. We will go to other respawn points with 1 Dragonfly, and the rest of the army will be destroyed in ANY CASE.
P.S. I will finish another Chinese map soon and write a review. :)
