1) I take the "Order of Prosperity" and become a leader-commander (I can even create my own knightly order, as Alex wanted). I give allies +50 initiative, dodge, and accuracy, and also die in one round. The hope is that the allies will kill the enemies before they reach me. At least, most of them. And then I'll rely on luck and resurrection spells.
2) I create a commander (Jagensdorf) with three commander skills and slightly higher stats, or with all commander skills (Clan of the Sun) and something else (a bow for ranged combat? Massage for additional buffs? (lol) Flaming Wings for protection against melee attackers?). There won't be extra money from quests, and the usefulness in ordinary battles won't be much higher than in the first option (except perhaps through slightly better survivability), but in large-scale battles, the character will be a monster. Leadership in organization is purely optional.
3) I simply create a charismatic melee fighter (most likely with a shield). The bonuses to allies will be much more modest, but he should live longer than usual. Definitely not a group leader.

Since we don't have a frontline, I'm planning to take a guy with a katana and a catgirl-swashbuckler with a rapier. Is that okay?
