It all started as usual. In Grechka's tavern, and in the very first battle, some random mobs wiped out 20+ goblins. But I decided to keep playing because Gunnar joined, and at the end of the turn, he went to drink water, and there was also a convenient external market right by the road. The 8th hero, Dessa, also arrived, and I hired him at the end of the week. I scouted all parts of the Artifact of the Day and collected them, reaching around 122-123. Near one of the parts, I also found a Sun artifact for morale/luck. Gunnar, starting from the middle of the second week, had 4k+ movement points. Everything was going great, but Vitaly's heroes, using scouting, were already visible in the Treasure Chamber with 20+ Monarchs, and there were double swamps. And the heroes were: besides Tazar, there were also Andra and Miriam. I had a funny struggle with a purple Rampart, which left its Castle empty. I didn't have time to move troops there and finally take the Castle, so I just ran into the empty Castle with my fast hero on my turn, built another Guildhall level, gave the Castle away, then took the empty one again, built a Guildhall, gave it away... By the end of the second week, I finally took it. To my advantage, I also got a Town Portal from the first building. A Dungeon was built around the 4th or 5th upgrade, which was good. From the middle of the third week, 2 heroes with full equipment (both with a Log and boots) and 2 more heroes with just Dungeon were completely clearing the map. Despite all this, I only found my first (and last) Utopia in the game on day 142. But it was in that one that I got the Knowledge Orb, which made the task easier when Andra, trapped in a corner of the map, decided to move closer to the center. Armag, with Alagar's enhancement, then Gunnar attacked. I even forgot to collect the Artifact of the Day before the final battle, and there turned out to be a cloak from level 1-2.
