And I leveled up Isabel through Darkness and she cleared the right half of the map (it's easy with Subjugation), including various islands. Meanwhile, Markel, after clearing the respawn point a bit, went almost immediately to the Mages, and also gathered some troops at sea (again, Darkness in patch 1.41 is a complete evil. I didn't even level up Summoning for the Necromancer, and only later, towards the end of the mission, for the Phoenix, I invested three levels).
