You are the one maintaining the connection between this storm and the tournament, suggesting to people in private messages that they should withdraw from the tournament together if FTS doesn't return.
I am indeed maintaining the connection. But I'm not doing that in private messages.
First, I'll note that I decided to start writing in private messages only after Vick moved the entire discussion of the situation to the Forum, and Vick was warned here on the forum that if he chooses to hide everything in the Forum and cover up his mistake, I will not hesitate to write to each participant in private and draw attention to this situation. That is, I am not doing this behind his back. So, in a private message with a person:
1) I point out that such a fact occurred. And I ask if the person is even aware of what happened.
2) If the person is not aware, I suggest that they figure it out themselves and, if necessary, ask all the necessary questions to Vick, FTS, or anyone else to understand the situation. (The most striking example of a person who followed this path is De Luxe - thanks to the fact that Vick hid everything in the Forum, the situation went unnoticed by him until I wrote to him. And it took him a couple of days to figure it out). After that, I ask again - is the person now aware of the situation.
3) When the person replies that they are aware, I ask the next question - how acceptable do they consider Vick's actions to be personally - is this something they want to see in the community and in the tournaments in which they participate.
4) And when the person replies that they also think it's some kind of nonsense, I say that I have already decided for myself that if Vick does not eliminate the consequences of his actions and FTS will not play, then I will not play in this tournament either. And since I want the situation to be resolved peacefully and don't want to get worked up, Vick is given as much time as possible - until the start of the tournament. And only if the tournament is about to start, and Vick has not resolved the issue with FTS, then what can be done, I will have to withdraw. And if the person agrees that this is unacceptable nonsense, and if they want, they can do the same (in case they didn't even think that such an option for their personal decision was possible). At the same time, if someone starts to get upset like you are here, I emphasize that this is not a joint withdrawal, but it should be seen as each person's personal relationship with the situation and with Vick personally. This is not a joint withdrawal because even if I withdraw from the tournament alone, I will simply withdraw and that's it, without making a show out of it. And that is why, by the way, it is annoying that you started this conversation, because there is a chance that you will now turn all this into a show, which I did not want to do. What is this joint withdrawal if I withdraw alone, not finding understanding from anyone? It's just informational manipulation on your part.
It took me some time to realize this logic - at the moment, it is like this.
I stand by my position that I am against silence and the lack of discussion. And I am solving the information problem. So that it is difficult to turn a blind eye to what is happening.
At the same time, it may turn out that I am wrong, and this is not nonsense at all.
Your proposal was clear when FTS was denied. But now the path is open for him.
I agree that the best option is if everything can be resolved before the start of the tournament.
And at the moment, I am far from thinking that Vick "understood something."
The fact that he replaced himself with you in the role of tournament host (and for some reason, he only realized on the second attempt what this really means) - for me, this does not change anything.
And about the "open path" - let FTS decide for himself.
