In reality, a huge fuss has been made out of a minor issue. If Vika had simply said: "I won't change the rules during the tournament," the discussion would have ended immediately.

This is too restrictive, and I'm not willing to comply. In many of my tournaments, the rules are written right before the tournament begins, so sometimes there are loopholes that need to be addressed quickly.
