One must be vigilant and sufficiently detached to understand what people truly need, and to distinguish this from the temporary turmoil on the surface, from all these concepts and ideas that only obscure the truth instead of revealing it.

In words, this sounds simple and correct (and in reality, it is simple and correct).
But in practice, "one in ten thousand" is able to grasp what this really means, let alone put it into practice. And this doesn't happen with a snap of the fingers after reading a phrase. :)
