Which installment of the Heroes series had the best campaign storyline for you?

True, the plot in Heroes 1 was too simplistic, but back then, NWC was just learning how to write them.

Well, in the first Heroes, the entire plot is in the manual, in the letters from Morglin Ironfist to King Ragnar. It tells how Ironfist arrived on Enroth, how he expanded his power there, and how he eventually became king.

But back then, NWC was just learning how to write them.

Why? There were already five parts of Might and Magic, which had a fairly well-developed plot.
