Another reason could be to have a text field to enter the reason.
My reason is - I won't buy a monthly subscription, I want a lifetime one.
A product can be paid for once and taken away forever (and even then, it may break down someday, and you'll go buy a new one).
Services are paid for again and again in each specific case of service provision.
Internet, a barbershop, a ride on a booster in an amusement park, utilities (gas, water, heat). You can argue about prices, but the nature of a service and a product is different.
Or try to come up with - what should be the price of a "lifetime subscription" to the lobby and why exactly. And what will you do then if you are the only one who pays for it, the rest don't care and even for the monthly one, and the developer will also stop caring about the whole project. These are unsolvable issues in the case of a service.
