Regarding the desert – consider the scale, because in Might and Magic, there's something called SCALE, meaning you travel through cities and settlements of Bracadia (and not the entire Bracadia, even the desert, is shown in Might and Magic VII), but it's impossible to fully represent this in the game. And the high mountains are located in the southwest, which is evident geographically. And I recently looked at that picture. It shows almost the entire mountain. And it's quite possible that on the mountain (which also floats, because you land in that part of the desert where there are practically no mountains at all), there's a Castle and the buildings around it, because, for example, the other buildings float. For example, the Labyrinth of Mist or the advisors' houses. So, Celesta is still floating in the clouds.
