Now, looking back, I regret not choosing Churchill the Dragon, with his ability to create Wizards. Ranged attack skills in battle, when magic is impossible and archers alone can't help, are perhaps one of the most important aspects. But, I chose Tedder and played the story and victory over fascism in my own way.
Each hero starts with a capital city, with closed gates and a strong garrison. London is guarded by 15,000 Crusaders, Coventry by 7,000 Royal Griffins; the allies and enemies have the same. Victory in the game is not so much about killing enemies, but about passing through the garrison, and they are simply hellish…
Pros: Many Dragon Utopias; for easy navigation, you can collect the Admiral's Hat within the first week, as well as the Tome of Water Magic (to get it, you need to defeat 777 Water Elementals) and Boots of Levitation (protected by 777 Silver Pegasi) in England. There are several Tomes of Fire Magic, and they are not difficult to obtain. Throughout the game, you collect the Angel Alliance, the Titan's Thunder, and other artifacts.
Cons: Besides the garrisons, there are 3 Tomes of Earth and Air on the map, but each of the Air Tomes is guarded by 4,000 Thunderbirds, and the Earth Tomes by 4,000 Ancient Behemoths. You can get the Angel Wings by reaching the red tent.
The Blue and Cyan tents are located near the shores of Albion. It was more difficult with the other tents, and the author placed some of them in such a way that visiting one gives you access to another. This is the case with the enemy tents. The ultimate skill is visiting the Green and Red tents (behind them are the German cities and Berlin).
After collecting the Admiral's Hat and joining a legion of Water Elementals along the way, I sent Tedder to explore the sea territories. After capturing all the nearby Utopias, I crossed the only intercontinental portal to Indochina, giving some of the artifacts to Green-USA, who is playing with two different factions – Rampart and Conflux.
While Tedder was away from his homeland, Germany, Italy, and Japan began their expansion. Hitler went against Stalin, forcing him to surrender a couple of Towers and retreat behind the Moscow garrison. Mussolini began to pressure Purple, killing his main hero. The Japanese went even further – Yamamoto's landing force almost defeated Brown, but then my hero arrived and, with the Shackles of War, defeated Yamamoto. Red began to capture all the castles around its Dungeons and looked in my direction.
By the 2nd month of the game, Montgomery had also leveled up and was killing everyone who approached England. But then Hitler decided to change direction and, leaving Pink, sailed towards us. Hitler's stats (Necromancer Lord Haart) were already over 45 in the 2nd month, and the core of his army was a legion of Minotaurs. Tedder's stats were no less. I drove him back and transferred all my forces to him, attacking Hitler on the approaches to Coventry. Hitler was defeated (at the very beginning of the war).
After receiving a lot of artifacts, I gave some to Montgomery. With his help, I captured all the castles in Western Europe, except for the garrisoned ones. With Hitler's death, the allies went on the offensive. Usually, the AI is not capable of much and only cleans up, but Pink and especially Green Eisenhower helped significantly.
Returning to Indochina, I attacked the legion of Thunderbirds and captured the Tome of Air. At the same time, Turquoise captured the 2nd Tome of Air. Unfortunately, his music didn't last long – sailing to him and taking advantage of his weakness after the battle with the birds, I defeated him and took the Tome for myself, later giving it to Green. Montgomery dealt with Mussolini, and the opponents lost key players.
The 4th and 5th months were spent visiting the tents and trying to defeat 4,000 Ancient Behemoths and get the Tome of Earth; the lack of a mountain portal greatly hindered the progress. Eisenhower managed to do this immediately, with a much smaller army; I had to fight, gritting my teeth. But I managed to capture it.
By the 5th month, I visited the red tent and received the Angel Wings and the Angel Alliance from Pandora's Box. By that time, I had bought Rommel, who sailed to the green tent. All the tents have been visited; all that remains is to finish off the enemies.
This is where the toughest part began. Tokyo is located behind an anti-magic garrison of 7,000 Dread Knights. Rome is guarded by 7,000 Hellhounds. I dealt with them, but I lost a large part of my army. The allies killed all the enemies in the open, but they didn't even dare to approach the garrisons.
The most epic battle was with the Red garrisons – 6,000 Royal Medusas in one city, 16,000 Blightlings in another, and the star of the show – 20,000 Minotaur Kings in Berlin. Without magic, it was simply a hellish task. The battle with Germany took 3 months (!), 2 of them – the assault on the Berlin garrison. I fought hit-and-run, gathering forces from all the captured cities. After breaking through the garrison, I attacked the hero sitting in Berlin with Armageddon and won!
All the allies survived; Eisenhower reached the same stats as Tedder, 99, and Stalin reached 75.
