Favorites, to battle! - 10 - The Battle of Favorites! - 10
In the early game, I placed wooden creatures and Grand Griffons in the Inferno city and summoned Ifrits. Starting from turn 121, I began building Hives (3 in two zones), and the path to the opponent's territory (towards those same Hives) was relatively short. I managed to have Mephala gather 2 consumables and then sent Solmyr to attack the opponent. I got distracted by a treasure chest behind the gray creatures, thinking it contained magic items, but it turned out to be 15,000 gold, which was a setback. The opponent used their turn to gather those Hives and attacked me with Tazar. The armies were roughly equal, except that they had almost twice as many Grand Griffons and wooden creatures. Tazar had enough mana for one Oil, while Solmyr had enough for Oil, a ranged attack, and two Chain Lightning spells. I hesitated about whether to pay to avoid the battle, but when Tazar immediately charged in, I decided to continue. A successful Chain Lightning spell, and over the next few rounds, I finished off the remaining troops, preventing Tazar from escaping. Thank you for the game!
Besides Orrin, there were no other heroes at the start. Tazar arrived as the eighth hero, but that was on day 4.
