When Arita returned to the Gardens of Ikigai (this time successfully), Kyoko gave her a set of strange ritual objects and tools, and then sent her back west to Larian. Arita obediently did so, and upon reaching the desired location, she crafted a torii gate in the middle of the mountains. To her possible surprise, she managed to do it quite well, and the work went smoothly without any difficulties, even though she had never done anything like it before. The dragon, sensing no evil intentions in Arita, did not react to her in any way.
After some time, an elegant female hand with long crimson nails appears from the gate, and a cunning laugh echoes from somewhere, and before the dragon can do anything, the hand throws a paper amulet at it, which attaches to its head a moment later. The dragon's eyes become blank, and it flies away.
