"They still have a long life ahead of them, sir?...” – I examine another suspicious-looking fellow.

“Lithium Groenhoeven, Count of Nephritia, from the easternmost region of the empire,” said the man as he bowed. Nano noticed that he was dressed rather extravagantly, and elegant scabbards were visible on his belt.

“I hope this carcass isn’t the ‘mission’ Mr. Bright mentioned,” Alaria blurted out with a nervous laugh. “You see, he wasn’t generous with details. He just said we would learn more from you.”

“Ah, no… You only need to deliver this information upstairs, either to him or to the head of the regular police. As you can understand, for obvious reasons, I cannot leave the camp for too long…” An arrow appears in Gecko’s eye, piercing deep into his brain. The snake-man falls lifelessly to the ground.
