It is possible that this will also affect the Might & Magic game series.
More details:
Ubisoft has announced the opening of two new studios, Ubisoft Odesa and Ubisoft Mumbai, in Ukraine and India, respectively. Both studios will participate in the development of new AAA games for Ubisoft's largest franchises, with a total of approximately 160 employees planned to be hired in the first two years.
Note: The term "AAA game" is used in the computer game industry to refer to the highest-budget games, designed for a mass audience and requiring huge costs for both the game development itself and its advertising, primarily the marketing campaign leading up to its release. The development of AAA games is associated with high economic risks, as the game's profitability requires the sale of a huge number of copies. This concept is similar to the term "blockbuster" from the film industry.
It should be noted that Ubisoft offices already exist in Ukraine and India (in Kyiv and Pune, respectively), so the new studios will strengthen the company's position in these regions and contribute to the development of the video game industry. This, in turn, will make it possible to increase production capacity and also increase the company's creative potential by hiring new talented specialists.
Ubisoft Odesa and Ubisoft Mumbai will collaborate with other Ubisoft studios around the world, participating in the development of new games and events as part of a distributed development approach, which involves individual contributions to the creation of a game depending on their specialization.
