A well-known brand among a select few. I've been wanting to try it for a long time, but only now have I gotten around to it. According to numerous enthusiastic reviews, this rum is very smooth, perhaps smoother than any other strong alcoholic beverage (not counting vodka, which has fundamentally different culture and consumption methods). The aroma is strange: sometimes it smells soft, sweet, and vanilla-like; other times, you can barely smell anything besides alcohol. Perhaps the scent is the weakest aspect of this drink. The flavor profile includes vanilla and woody notes, possibly something else that I can't quite name, but even if there is, it's hardly noticeable. Overall, the taste isn't complex, but it's pleasant. The aftertaste fully corresponds to the main flavor: smooth, woody, vanilla, light, and enjoyable. Intoxication sets in gradually, and the sensations are exceptionally pleasant. In conclusion, this is an excellent "everyday" rum without pretensions of particular sophistication, 9.5/10, costing only 1800 for 2 bottles, and even cheaper if you buy more. It immediately reminds me of "Bacardi Black," which is much worse but twice as expensive. Buy it; this drink is worth it.
P.S.: again, according to reviews, there is almost no hangover, even if you drink a lot, so indulge like a true pirate and don't worry about the next morning (this is not an endorsement of excessive alcohol consumption; remember that alcohol harms your health).
