Is it possible to improve the graphics in "Hammers of Fate" beyond the limits of the original game?

I recently started playing and noticed that with the standard resolution and very high graphics settings, the game doesn't look very good (and I'm not a graphics snob, so don't get me wrong), and my 1600x900 resolution stretches the game significantly. Is it possible to use mods to increase the graphics quality even further (please don't suggest mods with altered textures; I want to keep the original ones)?
