It would seem that to please an average person like me with a good action movie, all that’s needed is decent special effects, zero (or at least not negative) acting, and some kind of understandable plot. But surprisingly, even by these simple parameters, the movie managed to fail. Throughout the entire viewing, there were only two good scenes, one successful joke, and one quality action sequence. That’s not nearly enough, even for the disaster movie genre, of which I’ve probably seen almost everything. I’ll add a few subjective points for the good idea; I’ve always liked satellite weapons.
