Dealt some decent damage, Gunnar arrived. But while breaking through 28 kents gr they merged into one stack, and then with two morale procs they slaughtered the gremlins. I had to adjust my Napoleonic plans of taking everything in sight since only half the gremlins were left. Killed the AI (luckily there was a strategic well near his Castle, so Solmir cast lightning). On 116 I took the chest behind the demons for 5k gold, and the game started to pick up. Then two natives arrived; I ran around collecting stuff until I made the second thingy. I got greedy and entered a 3-stack with Gunnar without expert earth magic. Result: 40 griffins were left there, and I was left without an army. Had to wait further. On 131 I finally took the Griffin Conservatory, ran further; there was TP, so I needed to capture more towns and devour everything in sight with Solmir and Gunnar, as both had advanced earth magic. But no luck, on 134 I saw that the opp arrived on a loser. I had to trade down to zero, buy up manticore, minos, eyes, and medusas in the dungeon (since I had no army), and went after the loser. Turned out the loser didn't even have shooters. But he had teleport. No matter, first round I killed his angels and cast slow without a return cast. Then on the 2nd round he teleported skeletons after my slow and tried to kill the angels (didn't work, Gunnar had defense). Well, shot them and started cutting through his army. Slaughtered everyone except vamps, who were on oil, and skeletons, as it was obvious the opp would port (Nagaash with 120 mana). Then came a tragic battle where my painstakingly gathered army managed to deal 500 damage to skeletons :D. Then the opp arrived with Tantum, apparently wanting to kill my remnants with shooters and other stuff using a decent hero. But Solmir was running, stepped into the strategic well, and on the last move attacked Tantum. 2 tea-kettles and - an angel and remaining skeletons, a bunch of artifacts and - main.
Need to sleep better, because I made so many mistakes, but thanks to the opp's mistakes, I carried it.
