It was possible to destroy a town in WoG, but not in Armageddon's Blade (AB). The WoG mod is not a standalone game, but an add-on that was installed on top of The Shadow of Death (SoD); it couldn't be installed on Armageddon's Blade. And SoD is a version of Heroes of Might and Magic III that was released after Armageddon's Blade. I hope I've explained everything clearly.
