There's one nuance... at the time of Dark Messiah, the character Kirill didn't exist in the lore...

in reality, Heroes 6 significantly ruined everything that was shown in Dark Messiah and Heroes 5, but Heroes 7 and DoC started to bring everything back to the Heroes 5 form.
I think that Kirill should have died somewhere in Heroes 7; I wouldn't be surprised if the developers wanted to stage a fierce battle between him and Argail... but alas, we won't see that:( If Kirill dies and Zanna returns to her status as Kha-Beleth's slave, then everything will fall into place.
