Sacred Haven of Debauchery

I'm going to watch both versions; according to reviews, they are both decent, not like, excuse me, Rassilon, Sailor Moon.

I've heard a lot of good things about it, including from acquaintances.

But I'm worried that, according to the description, it's something on the level of "Firefly."

There was a time when I was seriously drawn to "Evangelion," but then I realized that, no way, the characters and setting don't appeal to me at all, and what's the point of watching Awesome Philosophical Thoughts in a depressing setting with depressing characters.
