- Leroy... and my name is Nirieth. That was my very first name. Tell me, Leroy, what do you want from life?
-- You know, when I was still alive, I knew what I wanted. Or, maybe, I just thought I knew. Now, looking back, it sometimes seems to me that I was just following a well-trodden path since childhood. We are raised in Tsutara in a special way. Everything was simple and clear: I was sure that the purpose of my life was to serve society, fulfill my duty, exterminate evil, and so on. And I liked it; I really felt like I was in the right place, and essentially, nothing has changed even now. But then I died, and naively thought that life wouldn't change much for me, that I would just stop communicating with people. But I quickly realized that no one needs me, that everyone can manage without me, and that was the case even when I was alive, I just didn't notice it. So now I just wander the world, trying to find something to occupy myself with. It probably doesn't sound very fun, but I'm okay with it. Isn't this the path that most people follow? Leroy didn't think he would talk so much. However, he needed to share the thoughts that had accumulated over the long months of solitude.
