Let me share my opinion:
The contest is held for versions of the game and higher... and since WOG is an older version, such maps are not accepted.

I apologize for the off-topic, but in my opinion, it's the other way around!
SOD is HMM3 version 3.x (where x is from 0 to 2)
WOG is HMM3 version 3.5x (where x is from 0 to 9)
From this, it is clear that WOG is a later version of HMM3.

In essence: maps are not accepted for WOG because the winner's map will feature a tournament! And on our portal, tournaments are held on SOD.
