Do Richard and the hunter set off south along one of the roads leading to the city. Soon they turned off the road and headed southeast through the forest. They quickly reached a small clearing. The hunter explained that this is where the boar often appears; it's part of its territory. He showed the lion three wolf pits, where Do Richard should lure the beast if it shows up today. Hiding in ambush, the hunters waited for the boar. Fortunately for them, the tusked creature appeared quite quickly.
