Emilia realized that the blacksmith was getting tense. It seemed that the desire to take the girl right there and then was conflicting with some of his principles.

Kahn stepped away and returned with a helmet. Emilia noticed that he carefully locked the door leading from the shop to the forge. After putting on the helmet, the blacksmith turned his head left, then right, and asked:
