What a fuss there was back then! They wanted to hush it all up back in 2000. There were rumors that someone was tapping with a spoon (can you imagine, it could be heard through the walls of the submersible!), and then they said that there were survivors, but later they said that almost all the crew members died almost instantly, and all the talk about survivors was just nonsense. They made a mess of things back then, maybe they don't want to bring it up now.
