You can take Dungeon and build a mana vortex, or play as Inferno and drain mana with imps (haven't tested this).

Dungeon and imps aren't suitable because Mutare will think to remove the spirit of despair when attacking us (and the computer won't be able to cast spells with berserk Azure Dragons, plus it doesn't have magic). Unless you try to start with Sadness in the first round, but it will also disappear quickly. Interesting options.

Do the old-timers remember the map "Merchant's Honor"? In my opinion, it is second only to Paragon in difficulty.

It doesn't split the stack against mage heroes, but it does against warrior heroes. Funny.
