Complete+HD mod: units move slowly during combat.

For the past few years, I've only been playing Hota+HD, and I've gotten used to many of its features. Then, someone suggested I try the Paragon2.0 map. I started playing it on HOTA and got stuck on the part where you have to walk on water and use a bug to fly over to the fountain. I had to start over, but this time on SOD. In the very first battle, I was almost shocked by how slow the combat was. The units take an eternity to move, even with the maximum speed setting. Is there a way to fix this and increase the combat speed?
