Both of us were left without restarts. No decent starting hero arrived, so I took Bron, who caught 4th level earth magic. After playing the first week, I was sure I was completely screwed. ГО blocked the path to one computer, and a 50-99 group of beholders blocked the other. But as it turned out later, there was a way around ГО via off-road, and on day 121 I managed to take the second computer — the citadel (I killed the castle first). Seeing the first army object that same day — thieves, I sent Bron there. He visited the stables, and nearby there was a hut with logs. I took the thieves and ran into the treasure zone; there was a fen external dwelling and several hives. I quickly grabbed everything in sequence and on 125 took the first Dragon Utopia triple. I took it with advanced earth magic and without an eater, losing 11 ducks (had 48). In the same Dragon Utopia they gave КЗ, +5 all, and a hat +4+4. I doubled my mana and on 126, without losses, the next Dragon Utopia triple fell, which was not far from the castle. They gave me junk. The 50-99 group of beholders that blocked the path to the computer, as it turned out, were guarding a Dragon Utopia. I killed the computer, took the Dragon Utopia, upgraded my ducks and expertized earth magic, then rushed into the central treasure zone on 132. I managed to take several zephyrs, thieves, and a Dragon Utopia with a 5th level hat. It got more exciting. Then came the power-grinding, leveling up supports. Thanks to scouting, I saw how the opponent remained within Bron's reach every turn, but I was in no hurry to attack. I kept hoping that I would finally find the last part of the elixir. There was no time left to wait; the opponent was demoning, I had visited all the libraries I saw and cleared all objects, so in the end, I attacked. I attacked without КШ because there was little mana, and without КЗ (accidentally forgot to pick it up). We fought under the opponent's recanter; my stats were slightly higher. I had a sniper bow, expert shooting, cyclops that could tank 3k+ hp, while they had an elixir and a massive pack of demons.
The necessary morale and army advantage allowed me to win.
Thanks to the organizer for the tournament, to the opponents for the intense games, to Bron, who didn't let me down in the deciding game, and of course to the team for the cohesion and mutual support!
We are the Champions!
P.S. The stream recording is on Twitch.
On 117 I took the first council double with Grindan using a bolt on 230, and on 121 the second one. I ran to the nearest treasure zone, but the road there turned out to be blocked; I didn't want to hit it like a fool and went to another treasure zone. In the end, until 127, I ran over stones in a poor treasure zone, finding only 20 ducks. On 125 I built GM5 — as always, they gave me in the slot: fire elementals, Inferno, and prayer :D
From the puzzle-map, I realized that the grail was in my Inferno zone and there was a tavern nearby! I decided to dig after taking the Dragon Utopia, as I was catastrophically short on money. Somehow, after some trickery with 30 fire elementals*7 summons by Grindan, I took the Dragon Utopia triple on 132 and on the next turn placed the grail in the main town.
On the third week, the elixir was assembled. On 141 I summoned 280 demons and for some reason relaxed, thinking this was great. But the opponent's 80 cyclops with a sniper bow proved that I was wrong :D
By the way! The inability to leave the city gates if those gates are blocked by a creature's corpse — is this an old SoD game bug or a feature and will it not be fixed by the HotA team?
Thanks for the game!
Congratulations to the opposing team on their victory.
The tournament turned out very interesting, Vik is a legend. Looking forward to "Game of Thrones 2". :smile14:
